Pros: The lens is build to last. It has a high resolution and is razor sharp. It has a very good contrast. The colors a great. And the transition from sharp to unsharp is also great. So you can achieve the a 3D look.

Cons: The lens has only eight Apterure blades that results in a ninja star bokeh at f4. The bokek is not that smooth compared to modern lenses.

Opinion: I have the lens for a few years. I have used it with Sony mirrorless cameras, The pics were good but not that great. Maybe it's me, because I newer used a tripod. In combination with a Nikon Z6 or Z7 the things are different. There more is weight and a bigger handgrip. I think it's the best contax zeiss lens for Nikon Z. I don't use the pics straight out of the camera, because I usually underexpose (-1), Therefore I shoot raw. The sharpness is always perfect. There is nothing to improve. The colors are great. They are similar to the zeiss otus lenses. Noise reduction is required. At least there is some brightness noise in the bokeh - modern lenses have less of that.
