Pros: Colour rendering, three-dimensionality and brightness of the lens.

Cons: Uncertain autofocus in low light

Opinion: I state that I am a not too advanced amateur, a lover of travel and street photos. After the magnificent experiences with Pentax K1 equipped with 43mm f1.9 I wanted to try more modern cameras with more "playful" and smart features. I had Fuji XH1 and Fuji Xt5. On the first I appreciated the general balance and build quality, in the second I discovered many convenient functions and various modes of use, but I found some finishes "unworthy" for a 2000 euro camera, and I had the feeling of a sensor too pushed for APS, so I decided to go back to full format. The choice fell on a used Q2 socket at a reasonable price. The construction is first class, the charm is the much vaunted and above all the images are dazzling. The somewhat uncertain autofocus with low light and a decidedly "traditional" general equipment compared to the Japanese competitors pass into the last position once you see the photos that come out of this jewel. The depth is incredible as well as the three-dimensionality, the Jpeg is definitely better than any other file I have tried before and each photo has a real personality. I can finally do without filters, the double slot and the many latest generation frills. Thanks to the magic of Leica, I have returned the desire to photograph.

Pros: Image quality, coat-of-arms, feeling

Cons: Creepy, cumbersome ergonomics, fixed lcd, no usb-c charging, mind-boggling price

Opinion: Thoughts that will antagonize me many: the leica q2 horrified me! Take a Leica m10, remove the peculiarities that distinguish it, weld a 28mm on it, leave the unjustifiable cost, and you will have a Q2! I honestly didn't find anything that could justify such a purchase. Cumbersome use, between very hard dials and a mixture of settings between touch and some physical buttons, very boring focal length, possibility of customization and processing of shots taken paro paro by a Canon of 15 years ago... What's the point of this machine? Not to mention the fixed LCD, a huge limit for me in street (solved with the q3). It's a far cry from being a "compact", it needs a camera bag for every use, unless you're walking around with the coat of a Los Angeles inspector. Other amenities such as a viewfinder with flush glass, or the impossibility of charging the camera via USB-C socket, you decide. For me it's a nonsensical machine, I might as well throw myself into the M world and enjoy the experience of the rangefinder, which would fit like a glove here. Leica has to hope that no one else will offer a compact camera with a FF sensor, because seriously it could remove the q2\\q3 from the price list. Between the x100v and the Q2, held simultaneously, I wouldn't have the slightest doubt about recommending the Fuji. An ocean of more possibilities, between simulations and OVFs that this Leica dreams of.

Pros: User experience. Amazing optics, stabilization, compactness, robustness.

Cons: The ferrules... Is it possible that you can't make less hard ferrules?

Opinion: The Q2 is a compact car with numerous strings to its bow. Image Quality: The Q2 offers a great high resolution and produces superb image quality. For me, it's particularly good at rendering colors naturally without any need for post-production in that sense. Remarkable Portability: Its compact size makes it ideal for landscape, street, and travel photographers, and users who want a camera that is easy to carry. Weather resistance: The Q2 has IP52 protection against dust and moisture, making it suitable for use in adverse conditions. Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH Lens: This lens offers great sharpness and a good aperture for low-light shots. Highly recommended to use TA where the Leica project emerges great, it is not the sharpness that makes the difference, that optic has other qualities to show. High-quality OLED viewfinder: While not top-of-the-class, the Q2's EVF offers a clear and detailed view even in low-light situations. However, it's important to note that the Leica Q2 is an expensive investment and may not be suitable for everyone. Its build quality and minimalist design are appreciated by many, but it may not be the best choice for those looking for advanced features like subject tracking or a built-in flash, all that glitters isn't gold. In summary, the Leica Q2 is a camera that combines excellent image quality with portability and weather resistance, making it an attractive choice for many photographers who are aware that it is a compact camera.

Pros: Quality of optics and materials

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I've had the Q2 for more than a year and recently I replaced it with an M because I prefer the interchangeable lens to cropping in the camera. Its aesthetic and material refinement, the quality of the optics, the portability and, why not, its convenience when compared to other Leicas, are however indisputable qualities.
