Pros: Great raw files, great lens, fits in your pocket, low noise, no dust, super sturdy, very small

Cons: Not stabilized, it does not have the function of adjusting the exposure once this hyena locked, tele-converter that re-samples the image

Opinion: After 4 years of daily use and several thousand photos I feel I can write a review about this machine. Socket for documenting moments of life and personal projects in small spaces, even indoors. Excellent 28mm fixed lens, very sharp at the appropriate iso, I would say up to 3200 iso, then when the iso is raised too much it suffers as it is normal, also due to the bayer sensor which is not the best but still manages to render well. I am a "documentary filmmaker" so I refer to the image quality of Mary Ellen Mark, Eugene Richards and the like, those who know photography know what they are talking about, that is, that extreme sharpness does not count for anything and instead having a tool that allows you to always be present and never miss a moment is vital. I have owned the 5D markII for 16 years now and I also use it almost daily, with only 2 fixed lenses 35mm and 50mm, and this small camera is the ideal companion that allows you to photograph always, in any environment and condition. And have a fixed 28mm always ready. It fits in the pocket of your jeans, so to speak, having fixed optics it does not enter dust, neither in the lens nor in the sensor. Metal body, bezels and lens, great feeling in the hand. Up until now I've abused her a lot by always being in my pocket, whether I'm walking around the house or going to work or going to the supermarket or whatever, it's in my pocket. In the midst of the dust it fears nothing, under light drizzle it does nothing and has fallen 3/4 times, dented and works perfectly. I use it completely in manual mode i.e. one ring with shutter speeds, another with apertures and the ring on the lens for iso. When in manual focus, the lens ring changes to focus and the iso is changed from the custom button above the camera. I would say perfection because after a while, but with constant use, it becomes an extension of the hand and you maneuver without thinking. Snapshot function very useful at f8 from 1 meter and f5.6 from about 2 meters. What I don't like are JPGs in the camera but this is my way of working, for me they don't make sense, they decrease the image quality. The digital tele-converter function can only be used in JPG because it resamples the files, and this was stupid on Fuji's part. If it worked in RAW without re-sampling the files and just cropping them (as Ricoh GR does) it would have been a very useful feature while maintaining the excellent quality of the raw files, instead turning to jpg you lose a lot of image quality. Fuji, you can do better here. It is useful to have three batteries if you use them a lot, they are cheap. Lens cap to be removed and put on, even here Fuji I don't understand if they make it or there are... In 2018 it came out, you make a quality pocket that you take out of your pocket and shoot immediately and I have to take the lens off with the other hand??? But is this normal? Mah.... Autofocus to review because in certain situations it is uncertain, but having started photographing with film at different times you get around these things knowing what you are doing. Burst if you use it is limited to 6fps but after 8 frames it slows down and shoots at about one frame per second, here too you can improve. For me it has great qualities, the small flaws it has do not diminish its value as if you use it to document and in raw format (even for street) it is fabulous. Before taking this one I had taken the panasonic lx10 which was even smaller and had an impressive leica lens for the quality (and by the way f1.4-f2.8!!) but being a small zoom dust entered everywhere and after half an hour as I use it it already had dust inside the lens, this one instead not even the shadow and trust me this is a relief, being able to count on a tool at all times. This bought used for 300 euros. I like it very much and very useful.

Pros: size, build quality, sensor, battery life, aesthetically very nice (my sample in champagne gold version), functions at your fingertips, intuitive

Cons: Ridiculous af in low light, delicate rings (in my sample the timing ring "jammed" after not even 10k shots), noise at high iso

Opinion: I was looking for a compact car that I could always keep with me and that could guarantee me a good quality without spending a fortune on the Ricoh or the X100... This one does its job very well. Street ok, reportage ok, stop. Beyond that, I was not able to go and get satisfactory results. I really like the position of the rings (shutter speed, aperture, assignive teleconverter), very nice lens, 28mm perfect for the above uses and even cropping it does well. The other shooting functions, various programs and film simulation, I found useless. The performance of the battery is good. If I hadn't had the problem with the timing bezel I would have kept it.

Pros: Awesome files. Optics. Machinability of jpegs as well. Invisible. Always in your pocket. Intuitive. Convenient controls. Packed with features. Battery life.

Cons: A bit inaccurate in low light. Less responsive than others when switched on.

Opinion: They've said it before: one of the most underrated cameras in history. In reality, it lacks nothing for those looking for a product of this kind. I have it in my backpack every day, even if it's just to go to the office. A soft case and a drawstring and you don't need anything else to photograph in almost any situation. Then the real surprise comes when you download the SD card once you get home. Rich rows, beautiful colors. Workable photos. I use it in spot reading with f/ae attached and single point. You tap on the spot on the screen you're interested in and that's it. Nothing revolutionary, a simplicity that works.

Pros: Good optics; nice jpeg in the room; very convenient the possibility of switching to 35mm or 50mm (only in jpeg); fits in a pocket; possibility to make 3/400+ shots with a battery; Fantastic snap focus.

Cons: Few function keys; bad the first firmware; Bad marketing.

Opinion: Heavily underrated camera. Everything was caused by a first firmware tending to the bad, but, updating it to the latest firmware becomes really good. I read I do not know how many reviews and all based on the first firmware, this has created this reputation of flawed camera, with the dancer autofocus and with photos with the shake. Let's start with the autofocus, I use the single afs and I don't miss a beat. It is absolutely accurate, even if not very fast. Instead, the shake, as far as I know, is always the fault of the person who clicks and never of the machine. It happened to me too, but I was using f/8 at dusk... It would have happened to me with any camera. Now it is almost impossible to find, but I still recommend it to all those who are familiar with the Fuji world and who are looking for a real quality compact that fits in any pocket.

Pros: Extreme portability; optical quality at all apertures; good ergonomics and availability of controls in relation to size; file quality in line with other modern APSC sensors; More than acceptable battery life.

Cons: Autofocus not great. Absence of stabilization.

Opinion: The philosophy of this machine follows the famous GR series by Ricoh. Same focal length, same dimensions, same operation that is used to compose. Personally I bought it as a cheap alternative to the GRIII. The machine is quite solid and of good construction, with accessible controls, all compared to the small size. The lens is very sharp even at full aperture, you can shoot without problems even indoors, also thanks to the good high ISO hold, in line with what can be expected from modern APS-C sensors with similar resolution. The minimum focusing distance allows good close-ups, overall the focal length is versatile. It is often said that this machine tends to have shake problems even with relative safety times. I have encountered this problem. I think it may be due to the difficulty of keeping such a light body still and that it does not stick to the face, maybe there is also a slight shutter lag that does not help. I have the impression that the problem is mitigated a lot (but a lot) by using the touch screen for focus + shoot instead of the button. Less vibration is probably induced. I do not find it a great limit, indeed it is comfortable and all in all consistent with the philosophy and the way in which the machine is held. The autofocus is not great by modern mirrorless standards, however I don't find it so limiting especially considering the type of focal length. Too bad it is no longer in production, it is an excellent alternative to GR, it has allowed me to take many shots that I would never have done with the "big" camera.
