Pros: Very pocketable, optimal focal range, lens with nice contrast, cheap on the used to date, burst at 10fps, well made

Cons: Few physical controls, auto iso not available in M, 1" sensor limits, ergonomics

Opinion: This beautiful compact has almost everything to be the perfect companion for a backpack or everyday pocket, but unfortunately it has limits that can be, depending on the style of photography, more or less binding. The size is perfect even for small pockets, it is very well made and the focal range 28-100 is perfect as a walking all-rounder (which is why this type of camera is definitely spot on) and the zeiss lens returns images with a nice contrast and with a three-dimensional rendering. Surprising for a machine of that period the burst at 10fps (even if the buffer stops at 10 shots). It would seem perfect, but it has limits that impact on the final judgment: first of all, inexplicably it is not possible to set the auto ISO with the M mode, so you are always forced to choose whether to control either the depth of field or the motion blur control, not both. The few physical buttons often require you to resort to menus (the Fn key makes up for it marginally) and the ring on the lens is often redundant since you can't control aperture and shutter speed except in full M, where the ISO must also be set so a third physical check would be needed... that isn't there. All this makes the use cumbersome and slow. The files aren't bad, but the quality certainly doesn't compare to larger sensors. In comparison, the Ricoh GR series is much faster, you can do everything with one hand and the image quality in my opinion is superior for the same pocketability. The zoom is the big added value of the little sony compared to the Ricoh, and also the price of the used. In general, it's a car with a lot of potential, but you have to be able to accept some compromises.

Pros: Small and light to always take with you. Complete with all the functions that can serve; Sony batteries compatible with all other small cameras; excellent file quality; attack for external flashes or triggers.

Cons: The screen so articulated is 50% useless. No macros. Other downsides are small secondary annoyances: slippery grip, small keys, poor battery, ring around the uncomfortable zoom.

Opinion: Small light and quality. Of all the tourist ones I've had this is perhaps the best and most complete. Pocket (literally), you can carry without feeling the weight. I preferred fixed lenses without electric zooms, ready to use, but this is practical enough to use and complete, 28-100mm with which to do everything but blur. The ring around the zoom is uncomfortable, long, a lark mirror, a wheel with clicks would have been better. It has all the functions normally needed, and files of excellent quality (raw, I never shoot in Jpg). Fast enough in all operations, except that it is not instantaneous to turn on to shoot and seize the moment; autofocus is more than valid, responsive. It doesn't macro. Perhaps with the wide angle at 5cm, but with the extended zoom (100mm equivalent) it focuss 55cm from the lens; understandable for Zeiss, but the compacts had accustomed us to exaggerate with close super-mega-macros. I don't miss a viewfinder (I already get enough crap from the various Sony A7s), but the tipper screen is useless for those who shoot vertically, it would almost have been better fixed and more compact. Very good raw, like the other Sony; as quality and colors can be used close to those of larger and more expensive machines without problems, if not for the different depth of field. Sufficient built-in flash, but you can use it externally, even with triggers; unfortunately it's the only RX100 like that. . Small keys, not practical. Meh handle... slippery. But with this size I don't ask for more, that's fine. I've never made videos, I've never taken jpg. In general, given the size and enduring the small inconveniences deriving and necessary, review more than positive especially for the very affordable price compared to the quality. I couldn't say the same (price-quality) as subsequent models, especially the latest.

Pros: Light, pocket-sized, orientable screen, wonderful lens.

Cons: Don't expect to have a reflex in your hand.

Opinion: The best compact ever. Useful to carry always with you, in the absence of a reflex. Very useful for street photography as it easily goes unnoticed and is very responsive. Very good burst shot. Flash embedded decent, small and unwieldy. If you want to have fun with photography, experimenting with shots, photographing in the free moments is a "must have". I always carry it with me in the bag I go to work with, ready to use. I highly recommend it to advanced photoamateurs who love photography and a little less cameras!

Pros: very small to hold comfortably in a pocket, excellent sharpness especially at low ISO, good exposure and color gamut, the files already come out 'as good as they are in jpg, very bright Zeiss optics

Cons: I do not find a very ready to use camera for your needs ... you have to fiddle around a bit 'between wheels and keys to search for their own styles ... maybe with standard file settings a bit' too saturated ...

Opinion: I bought this little recently but I was amazed !! I needed something to take with me and I was undecided between Sony and Canon G7x that more 'or less have the same characteristics ... I read reviews, ask advice here users to Juza, and my dealer .... when I told Canon replied .... ... the only missing for now is targeted for the rest is just great !!!

Pros: Zeiss optics bright, good sensor, little noise even with relatively high iso, easy to use, super pocket

Cons: Continuous autofocus.

Opinion: I have this little gem Sony for two years and I must say that considering quality, price and convenience I have not found rivali.rnLa machine has phenomenal perspective, lets you take pictures in very low light conditions without the requirement to place a tripod, the photos are presented with beautiful colors, the autofocus is fast, has many features and is affordable for tutti.Buone functions automatic and automatic intelligent though, just takes a little bit of familiarity, use it in the manual somewhere else satisfaction . The battery no one has ever left on foot and you can charge it with a simple USB cable for PC.
