sent on January 30, 2020 Pros: Robust, tropicalized machine, double slot and video footage. Good battery life. 100% crosshair cover. Cons: High iso noise. Opinion: Great camera. I had both the D200 and the D300, I can say that the D300s is similar to the previous ones, despite the addition of the double slot and the possibility of video shooting, it remains basically thought of as a camera and not as a camera. In the second-hand market it is located at low prices, with a few shots made and in excellent conditions of use..... maybe someone can think about it and take home something professional. |
sent on March 06, 2018 Pros: Construction, ergonomics, AF, command customization, photo rendering, burst, in short .... a lot of positive qualities Cons: If I have to find one, maybe the noise over 1200 ISO Opinion: I bought this body 1 year after the D70s, I realize that it is "old" but never buy was more apt.rnHa sublime construction, the viewfinder with 100% coverage (coming from the d70s was like taking a cabrio car and watching the starry sky) it seemed almost to return to the times of the dear old FM.rnDigerisce optics new as old and motor AF for non-motorized targets that is a show.rnPersonally I find myself very well and if it is in good condition the price which is certainly worth buying (imho). |
sent on February 22, 2018 Pros: Robust, Reliable, excellent AF, ergonomics and controls in the right place Cons: A bit heavy, it hardly forgives mistakes. Opinion: I bought it again about 8 years ago, it has never betrayed me in any situation, rain, snow, hot sun and salt I used it everywhere. really indestructible programmable buttons and function keys all in the right place and easily accessible (maybe they still did so .... !!!!!). AF really formidable (with the right goal). The sensor starts to be a bit 'dated and above 1200 ISO begins to show its limits (especially if you underpaid a bit'). It is not a novice machine because it does not allow you to make crop too strong and sometimes tends to underexpose so a little 'experience is required before mastering it to the fullest, but once you learn to know it becomes like an extension of the body. The double CF and SD memory slot is also excellent. For me it is still one of the best APS-C in recent years. |
sent on October 04, 2017 Pros: Great body very robust. Well the double slot. Ok the small integrated flash. Fast autofocus. Cons: Not very fast the burst. Clear noise from 1000 iso up. Opinion: Professional entry level professional somewhat dated. It is good to send photos in jpeg and raw separately to the two memories or use them as a backup. Do not underestimate the only 12 Mpxl. of the sensor as relatively large diodes gather more light. Measure spot metering. Not particularly suitable for sports shooting. |
sent on December 19, 2016 Pros: Focus fast with a wide selection of points in mirino- shooting ultra fast with pleasant sound dell'otturatore- All controls to hand without getting into uncomfortable Menu- body sturdy tropicalizzato- exceptional files with good light- really paltry battery consumption. the "few" MPX allows excellent video resolutions and also excellent 30x40 prints with light and easily manageable file on HD. Cons: Noise over the ISO 800/1000, the "few" Mpx not allow Crop pushed into PP. Opinion: After trying a D80 and found myself comfortable with the controls, this was my first digital SLR that I recommend to all who want to enter this world, in fact, has very ergonomic controls that make it faster to set and become scattare.rnNonostante noisy above 800 ISO I used with the 18-200 3.5-5.6 for indoor sports photos with excellent risultati.rnpur having a FF I continued to use it, unwilling to carry two camera bodies and wanting to expand the park FF objectives are forced to sell it with only 5611 shots, will be soon on the market for those interested |
sent on March 02, 2016 Pros: robustness; tropicalization; custumizzazione commands; available AF points; Outstanding AF; shutter; burst. Cons: forgive a few mistakes and requires some "attention"; if we want a few megapixel (but if you do not press beyond the 30x40 is not a big deal); the real problem is the high noise beyond the ISO 800/1000. Opinion: I use it as a second body for about a year. Doubtful seen the machine age, I suffered pleasantly impressed me with the strength and sensation "pro" that is perceived in handling. Use it has removed any doubt. available AF points, AF and shutter very best of my D610. Same vein (80-200 Af-s) alternately mounted on a body and on the legacy has amazed me; I never noticed the way down to how many times the 610 struggles to hook a person if they are moving or not very contrasted. Never a rather dud with the D300s. The latter also has a higher burst (and in fact I prefer sports) further increased with the battery grip. Not everything is rosy .... The sensor shows the years that, especially in the aspect of noise (from this point of view with the D610 are not hurt ...) and I try not to push beyond the 800 iso; many non-megapixel unless you print more than 30x40 are not a big deal. These two negative aspects put together, however, they require a certa "attention" use: the D300s forgive a few errors of exposure and composition. You have to get used to expose to the right to get very clean files; if you underexpose in postproduction emerges different noise as you can not expect to get a good image using the middle frame ... However despite his age consigliatissima! |
user58495 | sent on January 06, 2016 Pros: Tropicalization, professional controls, creamy colors, perfect ergonomics as "true Nikon", burst up to 8 fps, AF big, can use all Nikkor old and new! Cons: Few: he has his years and then around the ISO 1600 are inevitably outside the limits of sensore.Niente that you can not fix in post. Opinion: Tank 8 fps per second, heavy, sturdy, indistruttibile.E 'a monster sneak reliability and precisione.rnHa everything a pro DX, can desiderare.Ce have a few hours and I'm trying: white balance good, fast focusing and safe, creamy colors, files squeaky clean, which is good ergonomia.Ora output wonder D500 believe that affiancherò: commosso.Se Nikon are always continue on this road I think in the short reacquire its position clear leader in photography, which, given its history, still worth. |
sent on December 03, 2015 Pros: Ergonomics, keys in the right place, AF, dual slot cf / sd, burst Cons: Videos, weight, noise around 1000 ISO, Opinion: I was able to use it for a couple of months a few years ago, then he left the D7000 and with my phobia of mega pixels taken quest'ultima..errore.la Nikon D300s remains the last dx pro !!! fantastic body a pleasure to hold, although nearly kg !! The cleanliness of its file I have made back the desire and thanks to a Fantom91 forum user who thank him publicly for his kindness honesty and promptness (now rare qualities) I gave this camera body. With a fast and precise AF and buttons all the right places allow you to shoot in bursts and change the settings without having to take your eye from 'frame, 12 megapixel will not be many but the D300s exploits them fully and if you do not make large prints even need, who does many crop is only because it has the wrong inquadratura..per video department is a different story certainly is not up to the latest Nikon, or rather say that it is almost unusable with Cell succeed better, for the noise typeAlso here the last born in the house Nikon are definitely better here we can not push beyond ISO 1600 but still in post production will solve everything |
sent on November 02, 2015 Pros: well-built body, controls and general behavior up to the professional who asks agility with certainty not to be distracted from the scene making the D300S really fantastic .. I add to the perception of the moment unique and unrepeatable. Cons: the choice to make videos with the camera maybe to 2009 times was market choice, but now the new Nikon know how to respond to this request, the D300S is an eagle in the shot. Opinion: So he convinced me that I have no interest in the brand new pro constructed and would not mind another new body D300S, I think is one of the best digital SLR Nikon dx ever built, its 12-megapixel use them all properly for portrait to sports landscapes, etc .. with the super wide-angle to super details .. now i say: Nikon is back in the old days ..;) |
sent on March 03, 2015 Pros: body and professional services, to 7fps burst, commands the right post. Cons: noise above ISO 1600 (but it is known a priori), video quality really disappointing. Opinion: Megapixel aside, the d 300s is still l '"flagship" regarding the bodies dx.rnHo bought this car in 2010 and is still in perfect condition and still gives me strong emozioni.rnCon the 17-55, 80 True union -200 and + 35 50 1.8 I do not feel the need for a body fx (though not disdegnerei the idea) .rnNon you can push beyond the 1600/2000 iso noise accentuated (you can always overcome the problem by purchasing a D4S:-)). rnIl body is virtually indestructible, he commands the right place for a quick trim settings and double slot cf / sd provides the ability to have memory amount, even for backup.L ' Ergonomics is definitely improves with the addition of the battery pack that increases the burst wanting to 8fps (seems to shoot with a Kalashnikov) .rnPersonalmente I found limits: I photographed landscapes, animals, portraits, street photo with results stupefacenti.rnL'unica flaw I found it on video, that Nikon has included only for marketing purposes, which are nothing short of unwatchable, are better with the cellulare.rnPenso, also considering switching to fx, that'll keep till death do us part:-). rnConsigliatissima.rnrn |
sent on August 01, 2014 Pros: Body Pro, precision af, ergonomics, right number of pixels, burst, buffer like the top range, Indestructible!! Cons: Noise from 2000 iso .... but pp is resolved Opinion: From the happy owner of a D7000 I decided to buy a second body, my choice was the 300s. It might seem like a downgrade, instead no! This is a car that in spite of the age has only against the estate over the ISO 1600/2000 .... For everything else there's APSC that bears comparison! The number of pixels that are just an excuse for a bad crop of a photograph framed .... With its 12 megapixel can not get results with the 7000 I never got. With the BG ... I get the 8fps exceeded only by the D3S and D4 / s. The 7100 is fast .... but after 6 shots crashes due to buffer ridiculous to say the least, with the 300s arrive safely at 30raw! You can shoot Tiff thing with machines "consumer" 7000/7100 you can not do, this allows you to have files ready to print without going into pp and with a color depth that the jpeg dreams ..... . then ...... The sound of M16 emits the shutter when shooting is something indescribable, not to mention the body entirely inmagnesium alloy with its beautiful extra pounds of weight which makes it a truly professional machine worthy of this name is ..... in short, is a pro machine suitable for a professional photographer who despite 5 years of difference with the 7100 counter only the seal iso ........ The video industry? Well if I wanted to shoot a video camera would buy it? ;) |
sent on March 02, 2014 Pros: Tropicalization, solid body, AF, Ergonomics, Exposure Meter Cons: Video, video controls, very high noise Opinion: I've had it three years, strong practical and precise as only Nikon can be. Great autofocus, great burst, you have the buttons all the necessary options directly on the body without having to open the menu. Excellent exposure with the same three choices. The only downside is the noise that is very noticeable at high ISO. In the video is downright outrageous. I had taken for this new video feature, but it is useless if it is not strong with daytime running lights also lacks the manual controls over the video. |
sent on December 23, 2013 Pros: Solidity, Autofocus, Auto Meter, Tropicalized, gusts. Cons: High ISO over 1600. Opinion: For months I searched for information on this camera, I had to change my second camera body of the D7000 and I was considering the new D7100 camera body and the old but consolidated D300s PRO. I've tried both bodies, in various situations, but the one who gave me the most satisfaction is the D300s, for various reasons, primarily the camera body, buttons, ergonomics, rapid and precise AF in particular its files. It is true the D7100 has very detailed files, and optical PRO (before the need to calibrate the camera body) by stunning results but would recommend it to those who do landscapes mounted on the tripod is a queen, while for sports use, dynamic, fauna the D300s is still spectacular, gives fail with good detail and with PRO lenses from a certain creaminess and the absence of noise, even in low light up to ISO 1600 the noise is absent, to ISO 2000 are acceptable, no more than you have to have special demands. As a second body DX I'm really happy with my choice. |
sent on August 28, 2013 Pros: Pros: good autofocus. Ergonomics and buttons to the right place Fast shooting and high FPS, 4 customizable pre-set menu. It produces excellent JPG files with Picture Control in macchinarn Cons: Cons: noise above ISO 1600, a bit heavy for those accustomed to more bodies piccolirn Opinion: Opinion: for an amateur like me, I think my professional machine. The problem of the ISO is easily manageable. I use it with great satisfaction for sports photos in dimly lit gyms, in this case the focus continues doing his job, as well as the flurry very fast. I come from a D3000, so I had to read to 3-4 times the manual to understand all the secrets, but it was worth it. |

sent on March 12, 2013 Pros: Surely a machine and high prestazioni.Autofocus very accurate with his 51 points hardly misses the power, controls at the right place and tropical burst and double slot very comfortable ... Cons: High iso than 1600 .. Opinion: X me and a great fit SLR .. x all situations portraits, nature, landscapes, fashion, weddings etc. .. Body robust and easy to handle even without battery pack, sealed, very good dislay, battery very durable controls to the right place ... 51 points of focus you choose your room 21 etc, double slot, what you want me to piu.x and perfect .. great right ... |
sent on January 06, 2013 Pros: professional machine for autofocus, burst shooting, magnesium alloy body. Cons: the iso, but now with a good photo editing program to eliminate noise and can recover photos losing detail. Opinion: I prefer it because it is professional in almost all aspects of good to have the live view for macro, nikon is planning to replace it with another body according to the rumors with a hypothetical nikon D9000 but when you say keep yet its position professional machine of all respect. |
sent on September 25, 2012 Pros: Indestructible body, buttons, suitable for professional use, burst, af points, double slot Cons: low resistance to high iso, lack of infrared sensor for remote control Opinion: Machine really solid, battle, suitable for all conditions and weather situations. It is distinguished by the setting of the buttons can be used immediately for adjustments last second! Burst unbeatable opportunity to focus in 3D really useful! The real flaw, it is the ISO above 1000 .... I'm not going to have files manageable! If it were not for the noise ... it would be a car to keep for eternal life!! |
sent on August 12, 2011 Pros: Machina sturdy and well tropicalizzata.Supporta different types of goals also "Vecchiotti." Buttons are well positioned and intuitivi.Doppio slot. Cons: High ISO 1600 to take over the sui generis, but with a good deal of experience (EV) can be overcome. Opinion: I would say that in my case as a second body (Nikon D700) offers the possibility of diverese lavoro.La advice as machine DX very robust and reliable over time. For a beginner it might be a problem (we are at the computer), but for those who want to have a good SLR camera vivamente.Ritengo the council, therefore, that the reliability and robustness of the known product is worth at least worth spending a few more Euros for this jewel Nikon. |
sent on August 05, 2011 Pros: - System f - ergonomics - construction - built-in flash Cons: - Iso Opinion: is the machine with which the work. excellent body, durable, ergonomic and simple. machine is intuitive to use, the menu is a bit cumbersome, but the function of the custom menus and the creation of a menu dedicated to the needs simplifies everything. the speed of focus is enviable, the 51 points of focus and other features reflect pro machines. very useful and with a range of 12 meters for an opening of 16 mm, built-in flash good for any need, use it very much in sync with the sb 900. my usage is reportage photography-business-tourism trip |
sent on July 07, 2011 Pros: Autofocus very difficult to mistake Ergonomics and buttons to the right place Fast shooting and high FPS Dual slot for CF and SD Very Solid Cons: High ISO that should be checked carefully after 1600 Opinion: I think the Top of range DX! Apart from the problem of the iso, I do not see as a real problem because with a little 'attention you can get great photos for more iso 1600. I use it without ever having missed a shot from about two years and I am fine. At first it's like a pro, if you come from an entry you are confused, but then reading the manual and using it you can understand the mechanics and learn how to tame it. Great 51-point AF, perfect for sports photography and nature, and if combined with optical top of the range does not feel the lack of FF sensor |
