Pros: Love for its colors, no distortion, small, light, macro sharpness, intense contrast.

Cons: None for the use for which it is intended

Opinion: Love love love , exploring the meanders of my unconscious I learned how much a wide angle like this can tell my visions in a sharp and intense way . I could give up all the lenses of my kit, except for this little gem. Colors, contrasts, sharpness, correction, angle of view, af usable for the purposes for which this lens was born.

Pros: Sharp light beautiful, a love at first sight.

Cons: Autofuocus a bit noisy and absence of tropicalization.

Opinion: Fantastic lens for those who have to take pictures in the mountains in the city. Very sharp, bright and light, it lends itself to keeping it around your neck for a day without noticing the weight and bulk. The distortion is really minimal and the colors combined with my xt-3 are fantastic. What about if Fuji produced it tropicalized with new generation autofocis it would be perfect but unfortunately perfection does not exist.

Pros: Sharpness, colors, correction, construction... basically everything.

Cons: nobody

Opinion: One of the many objectives of the Fuji system towards which, it is not known why, there is a certain distrust and an alleged inferiority compared to the brothers 1.4. If, however, one abandons prejudices and snobbery, one can discover a completely different reality. The 14mm is a lens against which I can not find defects, not even to look for them. Very high sharpness over the entire frame (more unique than rare case), already starting from the maximum aperture. Plenty of microcontrasto. Natural colors. Irrelevant distortion. All aspects that make it exceptional for landscape and architecture. The autofocus is of the old generation but works well and, in light of the genres to which it can be intended, does not create problems. Very solid construction and compact dimensions. Combined with the 18-55, with which it shares hood and filter step, it can represent the perfect travel kit, light and quality. I'm sure I'm not at all unbalanced in calling it "THE" wide-angle par excellence of the system. Beware of those who denigrate him.

Pros: All!

Cons: Nothing!

Opinion: The wide-angle par excellence. Ultra-sharp to all diaphragms, exceptional for microcontrast and absence of distortions, small and light. With the plus of having a character of its own, the images it gives have a unique three-dimensionality. I've had several Fuji goals, including some of the most successful like the 35 1.4 or the 60 and the 80 macro or the 50-140, but this 14 is amazing. I'm using it on XE3 and it solves all its 24 mp without any problem. I really can't find a fault with him. Exceptional optics, I am completely satisfied.

Pros: Nitid (fearful MTFs), microcontrast to iosa, correct, beautiful colors, small, light

Cons: It looks like a loser compared to 1.4 :D

Opinion: A 20 that solves whatever is in the frame, is not a flash of AF, tends to have hunting, but on this focal I would say that it is fine, the perfect measure of brightness, does not suffer anything, goes in the pocket (along with the 35 1.4 around the world) , brings home the result in the best way. There's no need to say anything else, buy it. Compared to 16-23-56 it looks small and ugly but when the game gets tough... There it is! It's a sharp blade, it surprises me every time I open a shot, it solves every mm of the sensor to the maximum.

Pros: Absolute level optics. Excellent color rendering; excellent sharpness also at TA; robustness; fairly limited footprints

Cons: Diaphragm diaphragm a little dancer

Opinion: Having an equivalent 21mm is a must for landscapes. This lens doesn't make you regret anything: it weighs little, it's ultra-peforming, limited footprint! I've been using it for several years, and I have to say that as long as I had Fuji... he (the 14mm) was there! I held it until I had the last fuji body and it was the last lens I wanted to remove. I think it is very good, one of the best wide-angles that can be found for the Fuji system, and probably among the best wides ever. The second-hand market does not do it justice, it is sold with partial difficulty (compared to other optics). But instead it's just a fabulous lens! Nitida, engraved, does not suffer from flares or other typical robes from wide angles; Zero-oriented chromatic dyes, exemplary correct distortion (also thanks to the SW of the cameras), small and light but quality construction. What to say: a real jewel! The only thing I have to point out is that the diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm is "ballerina," you doubt it's about to break. Then you try more and you realize they're all like this! But it's a detail.... PS: I think I'm going back to Fuji...!

Pros: Build quality, optical quality, no distortion, Fuji character 100%

Cons: Diaphragm diaphragms too soft

Opinion: One of the best Fuji lenses and probably one of the best grandangles in existence. Starting from the build quality, really flawless, light but solid and with diameter filters of 58 mm that allows you to share filters such as the polarizer or the ND with other Fuji lenses. The optical quality is exceptional, incredible the almost total absence of native distortions (not corrected via software) that allows you to take photos to geometrically perfect buildings. The colors are typical of the first series of Fuji lenses, I would say similar as yield to 35 1.4, never too saturated and with character. The only real flaw is the diaphragm diaphragm dial, which is very soft, lassa and it is easy to move it inadvertently (I had two specimens, both so). Surely for those who want a quality wide-angle is the ideal choice in the Fuji home. VOTE 9.5

Pros: Sublime Lens.

Cons: I haven't found it yet.

Opinion: After 35 1.4 The 14 2.8 cannot be missed. What to add to what has already been said, I do not know. It then remarks two of the most important features it has and that make it a fantastic wide angle, peripheral sharpness and distortion. I think in Fuji, he, the 35 1.4 and the 40 150 2.8 do kit without needing to add more.

Pros: Image quality, construction, size, weight

Cons: Soft aperture ring

Opinion: It is probably one of the best glasses available for Fujifilm's X system, underestimated (also for the fashion to go on the latest releases) after the release of 16 F 1.4 and 10-24; I highly doubt that the new 16 f2.8 can approach. We are faced with a lens that offers extraordinary sharpness across the frame, no distortion and chromatic aberrations. Exceptional for interiors, architecture, landscapes and, why not, street too. Sometimes I think of selling it but then I know I regret it, because this quality in a body so small, light and transportable in the Fuji system is not there. Fits perfectly on my X-T20 and marries the full mirrorless concept.

Pros: Sharpness, virtually absent distortion, size and lightness, when the used wheel is underestimated

Cons: When you sell it used underestimated

Opinion: Very light and small lens. Any diaphragm you use, the optimum sharpness. Distortions virtually absent and this makes it ideal for architecture and interiors certainly not only for that. Used to scenery from a touch all its own and I noticed that with the long I touch exhibits very little. Raf. A lens of course highly recommended.

Pros: High quality optics with an enviable distortion correction for the focal (optical level), with minimum dimensions.

Cons: I'm struggling to find them.

Opinion: It is a lens that would be taken for example for those who love a focal with this angle of field. It has a very good quality with a level of distortion at optical level (incorrect via software) that allows to use it also for architecture; My personal opinion is excellent for both Steet and landscaping as well as for urban development. I found one of the same characteristics with dimensions proportionate for FF I would take the flight without even thinking about it.

Pros: What more do you want from this little gem!

Cons: Soft diaphragm Ring

Opinion: After 23 1.4 and 56 I got this little gem... nn so why but it was immediately convincing... focal difficult? I'm going to let everything in and compose a lot of fun with this little guy... In the house between relatives... Street... landscapes... portrait... everything can be done... it seems to me to make less effort than with his fellow-purse.. With my T3 is a lightning well he's I can't wait to play at the next wedding! Really recommended by those who were tempted and tried for a week the so emblazoned 16 and chose him.. The little Vechietto 14 mm 2.8 Fujinon fear!

Pros: optical qualities (contained distortion, sharpness, micro contrast), footprint and weight

Cons: If you really want: the lampshade, too cumbersome for my taste (which at first I modified, not finding an alternative to those screw on the market and which I recently replaced with Haoge LH-X13 in bayonet metal); the diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm too lasa (it is a limit of all the XF Fuji optics in my possession) and therefore easy to change inadvertently.

Opinion: It's a little gem. At the same level as the Nikon 20mm f/1.8 (except of course the stops it pays in brightness). Being the focal 21mm equivalent among my favorites and having chosen to switch from Nikon FF to Fuji to reduce weights and clutter, I am fully satisfied. With the 23 f/1.4 and the 56 f/1.2 is a fixed part of the "travel kit" (actually, more often on the XT-2 - on which it is perfectly balanced - than in the bag). The only "limit" is the brightness (f/2.8) that in night shots or interiors of architecture imposes a statist not to raise too much ISO ("problem" solved with the excellent 16mm f/1.4, however much heavier/bulky). For its predominant use, I prefer it in any case as it is, rather than an f/2 (or, never, an f/1.4) larger size. With the 18-55, it is in fact a fundamental part of my "landscape kit", also thanks to the same lampshade / diameter filters that further reduces weights and equipment (reason that made me prefer at the time to 10-24, with which - by the way - I could not use the Le seven5 in the low focal points). After almost 4 years of intensive use (he made all the main trips), I consider it indispensable for the way I photograph. I'd take it right away. It will stay with me even when Fuji decides to put the coveted XF 16-80mm F/4 on the market. At that point, for travel and landscaping I will need nothing else.

Pros: Sharpness, no distortion

Cons: nobody

Opinion: It's a compact, lightweight and well-built lens. Very nice diaphragm ring. I've been using it for nearly two years and the results I get are always excellent. Sharpness is great for all diaphragms. Very nice color. It's a super wide angle without distortion. Ideal for landscapes, architecture and interior photos. A lens I advise.

Pros: sharpness, size, weight

Cons: hood plasticky but it does its job

Opinion: I found myself at the crossroads when between 10-24 and 14 mm chose the latter but not for the price slightly lower, and even for that quit more brightness, no, I immediately found closer to the mission system mirrorless on the containment of weights and volumes. Yet in the narrow spaces was me tight, I joined a 8 mm Samyang for a while ', but the idea of ??replacing optical and often bring along two goals did not like and so although I liked mol? I have to replaced with 10 -24 that for me today is the peace of mind.

Pros: perfect little on my xt1, very bright, wide-angle dreams ....

Cons: boring hood

Opinion: I bought a few months ago this beautiful wide-angle. Very nice in my xt1 makes her look good, very light, small and bright. Only problem and 'that unfortunately brings addiction, I find difficulty to detach it from Fuji. I use it particularly in landscapes, street, and sometimes for portraits. Spectacular in every sense. I think it's the best goal of Fuji House and top level of the Canon and Nikon optics park.

Pros: Construction, image quality

Cons: Hood not up

Opinion: I have a few days this fantastic goal, I have not yet got to squeeze it well, but the first impressions confirm all the good things they read around: monstrous sharpness already at 2.8, accurate colors, perfect correction of chromatic aberrations and geometric, AF precise (and also quite fast), and not least a flawless construction that makes it a beautiful object even to handle. Comfortable the manual MF command on the ring and the scale of distances to work in hyperfocal, the setting and shooting without much thought to f5.6-8 you have everything in focus from one meter to infinity. Many have complained of an aperture ring too loose, personally I have not noticed, maybe it was the beginning of a series problem. The lens hood is functional but I found it sometimes uncomfortable to montare.rnrnEro long been torn between this and the Samyang 12/2, but the pictures taken with it that I saw on the net never convince me entirely; also the focal 14mm seemed a more manageable hair and versatile than the 12, so I decided to sborsare something more - the Fujinon used costs almost twice the new Samyang but I think abundantly repay the expense.

Pros: sharpness, size, luminosity, composition

Cons: ring slow hood of a plasticaccia, lens cover very bad

Opinion: It is mounted on the camera body and not disassembling more. Very bright, great sharpness, ideal for landscapes but also portraits, I would have made some kind of project. RNE 'really necessary for landscapers Fuji. A treat. rnAnche the price (about 900 I think) is very good and worth the investment.

Pros: Sharpness, optical quality and physical size

Cons: ring diaphragms a little soft, lens hood economic

Opinion: Stratospheric lens, rugged, small, optically fantastica.Credo that the equivalent focal length of 21mm is often useful for those who make street and who does not want to bring too much stuff with you, but it can go very well as wide angle and even for night shots through the roof ... is a lens that you always carry with you, always. my choice was the 14mm and 35mm ... and when I'm out walking I do not need another. Lens really recommended

Pros: Crisp, detailed, small and light

Cons: The usual low-budget fender

Opinion: It is a great lens that has nothing to fear compared to other famous Canon lenses that I use. On the fantastic xt1 each shot is a joy both in color and in black and white after editing. As mentioned it is small and gives a nice impression of robust construction. The MAF is fast, not like SLRs, but it's ok for me. Another note of merit is the manual MAF which with focus peaking it is a pleasure to use it as well as the diaphragm ring although a little soft. It's a 21, compared to the 24x36, a focal that I like very much also because it is almost free from distortion. By now it is new to just over 700 euros and is all worth them otherwise used around 500.

Pros: ..Risoluzione And its great detail, small, light, focus fluid reminiscent of other models zeiss ..

Cons: For now, I could not find anything negative worth mentioning ..

Opinion: As I said this in combination with the optical XT1 not does not make me regret the wide angle of the professional series of Nikon. Its resolution amazes you every day that I have no way to shoot. Incredible detail, natural colors with all possible shades (maybe even on the sesore Fuji) A winning combination and in the same way that discreet is passed almost unnoticed, especially if mounted on or XPro1 XE2. Not for nothing I've read many reviews also professionals with the capital "P" that almost hail this small but valisissimo wide angle ...

Pros: Sharpness, size, weight, distortion almost absent

Cons: ring diaphragms soft as in all fuji lens, but you can live with

Opinion: I use it a lot more than the lens used in the field of landscape, street mainly, gets along well even in the context architettura.rnUna lens that I was 100% satisfied, the MF with the ring of distances allows for easy use in the context hyperfocal street and paesaggio.rnDifficile find fault with this lens, at least I have not found, razor sharp with almost no distortion, vignetting at TA fairly limited. What's more, if you need this focal length, buy it with your eyes closed is worth every penny it costs.

avatarsenior
sent on March 25, 2014

Pros: Sharpness and overall optical performance, construction, size

Cons: Aperture ring slightly soft (minor issue to want to nitpick), lens hood hideous plastic, it works just fine without ...

Opinion: A great (21mm), it is a pleasure to do street with this lens in hyperfocal setting or rather "focus zone", the focus ring is released with a movement and becomes fluid and shows the various references for distances .... you can easily shoot without being noticed and immediately, the yield to 2.8 is fabulous and closing grows more and more, building a reference, the size contenute.rné super wide x for the system, I also had the 18mm usavornsuper bought together but not recommended!

avatarjunior
sent on June 22, 2013

Pros: Optical quality, construction as a reference.

Cons: The lens aperture ring and 'far too "soft", it moves easily every time it is touched. The hood and 'effective, but on a lens of this level (and cost) could make it in metal.

Opinion: I was really pleased with the performance of this lens. It is razor sharp, with good contrast and also sports one blurred very pleasant. The mechanism that allows the transition from manual to automatic focus works very well, with a good solid feel. When in manual maf becomes visible distance scale and the one that allows you to calculate the PDC or set the hyperfocal distance quickly, very good! During the manual focus ring on the stop at the end of its run in both directions of rotation, .... not easy today. Ff corresponds to a 21mm focal length which is suitable for use in different areas with excellent results. I would have preferred an aperture ring more braking and if you really want to nit-pick .... a metal lens hood.

avatarjunior
sent on February 06, 2013

Pros: Compact (for lens type), high performance in terms of sharpness and contrast, even at full aperture.

Cons: We must be careful with the ring that allows the transition from AF to manual mode and can easily switch to manual mode, especially if you hold the camera in a backpack where it can rub on the bulkhead.

Opinion: A real surprise. RNLA lens construction is of good quality, without affecting the overall weight remains in areas more than human (especially for those who want to travel "light", but without getting to compromise on quality). rnHo performed comparative tests with my very reliable Nikon 14-24 of D800E and I must say that the 14mm Fuji no way disfigured. From now on I will have serious doubts about which lens to travel with!
