In my opinion, the Leica m8 is the most analog of the digital Leica and the least "cathodic" of the other current digital ones of various brands. After various comparisons it is the one I preferred and I still prefer today. So if one has photographed in analog and is still looking for that result with digital the Leica m8 is perfect. I take it for granted that you know the rangefinder. Black & white is very, very, very good comparable to a good development from negative, obviously also the file must be treated or in jpg properly set the machine, for the color it is better to use the appropriate filters to avoid Magenta with black or use an alternative machine - for Leica the m9 always with CCD sensor.
