Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L USM Pros: Sharpness, Color Rendering, Bokeh, Construction, Lightness, Footprint, Cost. Cons: No one you don't know at the time of purchase. Opinion: The Lens! Mounted on Canon 6D never let me down. Great clarity at all openings, excellent color rendering and pleasant bokeh when used at F4. Light, robust and not bulky, fast in focus and excellent value for money. Lack of stabilizer and diaphragm not bright are not a problem for me. I use it mainly for landscapes and when the light is scarce I support the reflex on the tripod. In short, it has no cons that you do not already know at the time of purchase. Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM Pros: Construction, autofocus, Versatile for APS-C, Bright, Very sharp centrally Cons: Sharpen the edges to poor Aperture open only discrete diaphragmed Opinion: Despite very mixed reviews that you find on the net, I also decided to buy this lens for use as a standard light lens on my APS-C SLR. The building, in relation to the price, it's really the highest level in terms of ergonomics, compactness, solidity and aesthetics. The autofocus, as well as fast and quiet, is very reliable even in low light conditions. The manual focus ring is wide, without yoke and perfectly balanced in terms of scrolling. Centrally, the sharpness of a TA is the most acceptable, but already at F2 or F2.2 better good results are obtained, and from F2.5 to F11 lens is a knife. At the edge of the speech is different: You get good results from F8. As for me, I use the widest apertures for photos to people indoors and outdoors without worrying about the edges that are still pleasantly blurred. If I need a lens to completely clear apertures would let stand the lens in question. If I want to qualche landscape shot just close to F8 to get a good overall sharpness and beautiful colors. The lens is virtually free of vignetting and a slight but not negligible distortion and chromatic aberration. The latter two problems are easily solved in PP. Overall, for the use that I do and the price is not exorbitant, a really good lens. sent on December 03, 2012 |
