Canon LP-E19 Pros: Endless Cons: Nobody Opinion: I have 4 for my 1DXII and 1DXIII. I always prefer the original batteries for my cars. I shoot a lot in bursts, with EF 500 f4 IS II + 1.4x III and 2x III and I need maximum performance and maximum durability. Sure the price is high, but the machines (and the cards of the 1DXIII) are already expensive in themselves. I have not made the transition to the R3 (and I do not think I will) car that mounts this high-performance battery. I do not know the performance of the equivalent Patona and therefore I refrain from comparisons. sent on December 01, 2022 |
Canon EF 2.0x III Pros: Excellent in combination with the 500 L f4 II IS. Cons: Nothing for the use I make of it. Opinion: I mount it on the EF 500 L f4 ISII and 1DX3 and I'm really happy about it. I get a nice 1000 that maintains a good sharpness and a very good af. I do not use the monopod and the weight is felt, but the result forgives everything. I took pictures in different light conditions (sun, rain, covered) and they always satisfied me. In my MotoGP gallery some examples. I also use the 1.4x and the differences in af / sharpness yield are really minimal. sent on September 29, 2022 |
Canon EF 1.4x III Pros: When used with the right optics, camera and light conditions, it doubles the focal length without significant loss of optical quality and AF. Cons: Subject to the above, nothing. Opinion: I use it to "double" my EF 500 L f4 IS III. I find it great (read the pros and cons) for what it allows me to do when the distance becomes prohibitive for the lens. Together with the little brother 1.4x is fixed in the backpack that houses the equipment that I carry in the circuits. Not to be used, of course, in the presence of strong rises of hot air where the bad result would be attributed to the photographer and not to the combination lens + dupli...;-)) sent on July 02, 2022 |
Canon EF 85mm f/1.4 L IS USM Pros: Fast and secure AF, good (great) sharpness, Very good even at 1.4. Cons: As always I evaluate well before the purchase, nothing to report based on the use I make of it Opinion: Crossroads: EF 50 L f1.2 or EF 85 L f.14 IS? I opted for the second one not making portraits and because the IS, no longer having the "granite" hand of the past and photographing mainly freehand, is something that helps me a lot. I see that some write about the important weight, true but the lens balances well with the series 5 and 1. The AF is fast and accurate, the colors in line with the other L optics I have, the IS allows you to safely descend with the times. In short, "the air of the Canon house" is all there. Often in the bag I only have the 35 and this 85. For me, great lens. sent on September 10, 2021 |
Canon 1DX Mark III Pros: Continuity with respect to 1DXII, AF, battery life, well-workable files, high ISO seal. Cons: Nobody Opinion: Car purchased in February 2020 to photograph car/motorcycle (my passion). It would have flanked the 1DXII. Unfortunately, covid-19 has put its foot in it and therefore racetracks closed to the public. I only managed to use the machine on one occasion in Imola for the purpose for which I took it. I can say that the af seemed better than that of 1DXII but it is just a feeling, it lacks the proof of the two machines side by side in the same event, now it will be (hopefully!!!) something I will do next year. In footage made with bad light and with many reflections on the hull of the bikes, the machine seemed to me to keep in focus better than the 1DXII. The 1DXIII then used it on other occasions and I was able to see that the files are, in my humble opinion, better than those of the 1DXII, more workable and with an excellent hold at high ISO. Fantastic the possibilities given by the focus point change button, a nice step forward (for me) compared to the classic joystick (which still remains). Great to be able to use the same batteries as the 1DXII. Expensive (very expensive!!!) cards. Infinite burst that must be expertly adjusted according to your needs so as not to be then with a thousand shots to control (and throw). Maybe I would have preferred a sensor with a few more megapixels since I often find myself croppare on the track. However really happy with the choice made (and well thought out), a machine that for the next few years I hope to be able to enjoy without the limitations of this 2020. sent on November 30, 2020 |
Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM Pros: What I deserved from this lens. Cons: Nothing special. Opinion: I also own the Zeiss Milvus 1.4 of which I am very happy as a surrender (and why not, even as it is built, I find the latest generation Zeiss very beautiful), but age does not give anything and the focus sometimes becomes difficult. I wanted a 50 with the AF. Almost obligatory choice in the Canon house with EF frame this 50 1.2 L. Everything I read in the other reviews is shareable. I do not use it/I will use it for portraits (or at least not for portraits to "humans" ;-)) but I have already seen that it will accompany the brothers of the L series in an excellent way. sent on June 24, 2020 |
Canon Speedlite 430EX III RT Pros: Small(relatively), safe, pairs perfectly with Canon machines. Cons: Nothing. Opinion: It was my main flash for a long time and I recently joined him with a 600 RX II RT. It has all the features you need in a flash that has to work with my Canon series 5 and 1. The battery door looks more robust than the 600. Otherwise, well-equipped and resistant to fog and rain (light). Great. sent on January 29, 2020 |
Canon Speedlite 600EX II RT Pros: Powerful, reliable, robust, great menu. Cons: Nothing to report. Opinion: Purchased to flank the 430EX RT. I also used it in the rain (not a deluge, eh!) and it presented no problem. It obviously talks great with my series 5 and 1. Rightly or wrongly, I've always preferred Canon flashes to various third-party flashes. Only the door for the stacks that looks (but is not) delicate. sent on January 29, 2020 |
Canon 1DX Mark II Pros: It is and does to everything I expected. Cons: Knowing what I was buying, nothing. Opinion: Purchased to flank the 5D4 and 5DsR for cars/bikes. Fantastic ergonomics, well balanced even with the 100-400 L II and the 500 L II that I often use freehand, feeling robust, responsive and burst modular, even the af is modular and better (but not much) than the af of mine 5. The file is easily workable, if I really have to make a note sometimes I miss the 30mpx of the 5D4. In my case its use is confined to only use "on the track", preferring for obvious reasons one of the 5 without battery grip for other things. I don't make videos, so I can't write anything about it. I took advantage of an opportunity to purchase, well-maintained machine and with a few shots. After a "season" of intense use, very but very happy. sent on November 05, 2019 |
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Pros: Small, light, good quality. Cons: No one for the use I make of it. Opinion: Sometimes you don't want/possibility to carry the EF 35 L 1.4 II for practical reasons. This 40, made of the proper proportions, does its job well. When you want to stay light with a 5-series machine, while not turning the machine into a compact, everything is quietly in a simple purse. In addition, in a nice full backpack always finds its place and need there is. In conclusion, a good "cap" to put on the machine without regretting too much the goals that remain at home. sent on October 09, 2019 |
Canon EF 500mm f/4 L IS II USM Pros: Sharpness, AF, stabilizer, construction. Cons: I Can't find any. Opinion: And He finally joined my lenses!!! It'S been a long time around, yes... No... No.. And in the end, yes. Bought used but in excellent condition. Before the purchase I was frightened a bit ' weight since I would use it freehand. Weight that there is everything but that you can still manage (and in my case, despite the age...). Already used in different light conditions and the results have me more than satisfied. Crisp, fast AF, top stabilizer. With the EF 1.4 x III not affected by the AF ne for the sharpness, a nice 700 f 5.6. I had to buy a bigger backpack to be able to get us 2 5D4 with BG, the 100-400 L II, the 500 and the two multipliers, bottle of water and a sandwich... Here, let's say a 10kg of things... I'm glad I don't have to go. With this 500 and the 100-400 I'm covered to the top for what, as an amateur, I do. sent on April 17, 2019 |
Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM Pros: Versatility (not just macro), size, photo quality. Cons: For a lens from M, nothing. Opinion: The dimensions of this lens reflect the EF-m philosophy dedicated to M series machines. Therefore, lightweight and contained in weights and CM. The quality is more than good in both macro and general uses. I agree with Mauryg11 on the difficulty to use it in "Super macro" freehand where the IS is unusable: serves a tripod, while the two front illuminators "would" discreetly their work. Come on, happy with the purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who has an M system. In the FF bag a place for EF 100 L 2.8 IS I always find it, in the (smaller and lighter) bag for M This 28 has a fixed place. sent on January 26, 2019 |
Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM Pros: Size, yield, blurred, weight. Cons: Nothing in particular. Opinion: To be a F 1.4 maintains dimensions and weights from series EF-M. I find it sharp even at the edges to f 1.4. Up to f2.8 a visible vignetting that with a click in DPP disappears. The cost I find appropriate to the quality of optics and I think will be lowered with time. For the lens hood, usually speech: in Canon if the lense is not an L series is to be bought apart, needless to complain. Now we wait, with much patience I suppose, other goals in line with this, at least a wide angle and a medium tele. Recommended for anyone who has a Canon M machine. sent on November 29, 2018 |
7artisans 7.5mm f/2.8 Fisheye Pros: Cost of course, funny. Cons: I don't know, it's my first fisheye, it doesn't shine for sharpness, especially at the edges. Opinion: I wanted to add a fisheye to my EOS M kit and given the low cost the choice fell on that. To try it thoroughly I made some exits around the house and a trip to Padua with M6 and only this lens. Funny but of course not recommended this thing...;-)) annoyed me a little the aperture ring "free", ie without shots. When the machine is around the neck, often the diaphragm rotates and since the setting of the same is not visible in the viewfinder (I have the viewfinder on the M6) or in the screen, it creates some problem, or rather, requires more attention. with aperture 5.6/8 in my humble notice from the best and you can leave the fire on infinity (or almost). That gives the best does not mean that it is particularly sharp at the edges. In interiors I managed to photograph Freehand, 1/13 to 800 ISO with "decent" results. Weight and size, from M-series. Caution should be made for the front lens protruding. Front cap that fits in the lens hood (fixed) and at the moment seems to remain in its place without problem. Come on, not bad, it made me want a FF fisheye... other costs though! sent on November 07, 2018 |
Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM II Pros: A little ' all the things already written by those who preceded me. Cons: Nothing. Opinion: Leaving out the 100-400 L II I use for Auto/moto, the 35mm focal is the one I use the most, both with my FF (lenses 35 and on average zooms that allow the focal) and with the M6 (22mm/35 equivalent). I also own the 35 F2 IS that I find irreplaceable for certain jobs where I am obliged to average diaphragms, times and low ISO. Coming to the objective of the review, I find it higher than the 35 F2 IS at all openings and, without prejudice to the above, I prefer it on every occasion. The sharpness and the blur at all the openings are great. And, as Peppe Cancellieri expressed in his review, allows a "posthumous zoom"...;-)) the weight... well I'll be trained using freehand the 100-400 mounted on 5d4 with BG for a whole day, so the 760 grams of this 35 are almost a relief...;-) Great optics, worthy companion of my 5d4 and 5DSR! sent on July 25, 2018 |
Canon EF 24mm f/1.4 L II USM Pros: For my excellent use for colors and yield, solid construction from L series. Cons: Nothing. Opinion: For a certain type of photo in my bag came the 24-70 L f4 (or 16-35 l F4), the 35 L II and the 70-200 L F4. Now, after evaluating which focal use more, I'm trying with 24 L II, 35 LII and 100 L macro. The 35 is irreplaceable. All the time. Returning to the subject of the review, I find the 24th quite another thing compared to the focal 24 of 24-70 or 16-35, more difficult because it does not allow you to zoom but it forces you to think and move, but much better as yield to 24 of 24-70 and better than 24 of 16-35. The aperture 1.4 makes a good blurry and allows shots with little light without having to turn up the ISO. Rendition of the colors and sharpness are at the top, only a slight (light) drop at full aperture at the edges. Even this is still a purchase to be imputed to the monkeys unleashed by The_misfits...;-))) sent on June 22, 2018 |
Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM Pros: Color, yield, AF, is, sturdy, a M L series. Cons: As always no one if you know what you go to buy. Opinion: of my many (too-many) lenses is perhaps one of those I use less. But whether you mount it on one of the FF or on the M6 I know that the results will not disappoint me. Especially the sharpness on the FF is excellent, maybe a little ' cala at the edges at full aperture at 16mm where you can see also a hair distortion and vignetting. In the past I had the 17-40, but this is, in my humble opinion, much better. sent on June 10, 2018 |
Canon FD 55mm f/1.2 S.S.C. Pros: It's a bit of a dream come true...;-)) Cons: Please! Opinion: I have the FD version 55 mm 1:1.2 S.S.C. Aspherical, the third, second revision (1975). I'm using it (with adapter) with a M6. When I had the old Canon FD this lens (along with the FDnew 50 L 1.2) was my forbidden dream, impossible prices (for me) and therefore the "my" 50 was the 50 1.4. With the M6 still remains a fable of goal, sharp, with great colors and a blurry that I really like. Too bad the M6 stops at 1/4000 and therefore it is not always possible to go f 1.2. I hope Canon will soon be blessed with FF ML to fit this and the other FD's. And why not, to unleash (better, chained years later) the ape of the FD 24 mm 1:1.4 S.S.C. Aspherical and FD 85 mm 1:1.2 S.S.C. Aspherical...;-)) sent on June 01, 2018 |
Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Pros: Made more than good, compact, solid. Cons: Nothing. Opinion: This lens mounted on the M6 is a kind of drug. Machine and lens are always with me, the whole thing remains light, small and the files I get are more than satisfactory. Sometimes if I have to do something important, before I take one of the 5d and the F2 35 or the 35 L II F 1.4, I think maybe it would be enough M6 and 22... Oh well, I just think...;-). Inevitable in the bag of those who have a M system. sent on May 15, 2018 |
Canon FD 20mm f/2.8 Pros: Sharp in the middle. Sturdy, MF fluid bezel. Cons: Not sharp at the edges used on the Canon M6. Opinion: Very sharp in the middle, slightly soft edges (it was also on analogue machines). "Rediscovered" mounting with adapter on M6. Removed from the box where I had placed the FD with the two film machines I had held, still has a very fluid MF ring and has no defect on the lenses, a sign that I kept it carefully. sent on May 14, 2018 |
Canon NewFD 35mm f/2 Pros: Very good from f 2.8 up, solid construction. Cons: A little soft up to 2.8. Opinion: Another lens removed from the box where it rested, thanks to the M6 and the FD lens adapter. All still perfect, immaculate lenses and MF ring nuts and apertures as they were new. Only problem the hood (original) that has the latches that do not hold almost more (plastic, silicone?). Tried on the M6 I find it slightly soft and requires some little more intervention in DPP. sent on May 10, 2018 |
Canon NewFD 50mm f/1.4 Pros: Sharp from 2.8 up, sturdy, fluid. Cons: Not the maximum up to 2.8. Opinion: At the time of the FD lenses it was one of the three lenses I used the most. Very sharp from 2.8 up, in "emergency" did not get hurt at more open apertures. "Rediscovered" mounting with adapter on M6. It still has a very smooth MF ring and has no defect on the lenses, a sign that I kept it carefully. sent on May 10, 2018 |
Canon EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Pros: M series philosophy, so small and light. Cons: Another thing compared to the 22 F2 and the 11-22. But I knew what I was buying. Opinion: I use the M6 and M optics to replace the "holidaymaker" Canon PowerShot SX240 HS. I wanted a "long" tele to flank the 22 and 11-22 and between the two zooms available at the time I chose this because the amplitude of the focals covered by the 18-150 a bit ' left me perplexed. I haven't tried the 18-150 so I can't make a comparison. In non-optimal light conditions the yield of the 55-200 I find it soft from 135 up. Nothing serious saw what it replaces in my case. sent on May 07, 2018 |
Canon 5Ds R Pros: Very detailed and not difficult to process files, ergonomics and "series 5" controls. Cons: If you know what you buy, no one. Opinion: I agree almost entirely with the previous reviews. I add to have taken with me "on track", Car/motorbike (from the stands). The machine proved to be good even in a genre that should not be the one for which it was born. The AF is, when adjusted, very similar to that of the 5D4 used as a comparison during a 3-hour race (the lens used the 100-400 L IS II "fixed" at 400), then with the possibility of an extended field test. Burst and buffer the only notes. Especially the buffer (I shoot in RAW on both tabs) that does not allow guit if the cars/motorcycles are close together. I tried the crop in the car, both at 1.3 and at 1.6. Crop relative shooting in RAW since then with DPP I can recover the part of the frame "Croppato" possibly cut at the time of shooting. The files are slightly less workable than those of the 5D4, but the thing is irrelevant because in the genre that I do are already good, and because in PP I am not a great...;-). Ultimately I was pleased, as I am happy with the machine when I use it for the genres that compete them. sent on April 08, 2018 |
Canon PowerShot SX240 HS Pros: Easy, it was everywhere. Cons: Given everything, nothing important. Opinion: She was my partner for the holidays when the EOS and their goals stayed at home. He was everywhere, even in my wife's bag, without her grumbling too much. Decent / good files with beautiful light, much noise with low light. In short, the classic compact souvenir photo capable of giving something more. I still have it even if the use I made of it was replaced by an M6 and some lens M. I lost in portability but I gained quality and ultimately the bag that contains M6 and M objectives so great and heavy it is not. sent on April 06, 2018 |
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM Pros: All I expected Cons: When I buy a lens, I know what I do. Opinion: I had already had this perspective. Then tried and bought the 100-400 L II and having also the 70-200 L f4 IS (more convenient and practical for the outputs with the backpack on the mountain trails and combined with the M6), I sold it. But though ... I missed it. So it's back in my bags. Up to here it seems more a justification for buying than a review ... ;-) rnIn Effects, it would be enough to quote the previous reviews, this goal has already been said of everything and more. It is not a duplicate of 100-400 that I use for cars and motorcycles and that remains, for me, certainly better than the 70-200 duplicate in that area. But in other contexts and when the light is poor and do not need the extra mm, this 70-200 makes you take home the shot. For the weight that some complain ... I'm used to 100-400, so no problem. For the IS ... here, perhaps and for me (perhaps and for me) that of 100-400 is better. Fast and safe AF. The yield is always good at all focal lengths / apertuking. So still a must for those who have Canon. sent on March 06, 2018 |
Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4 Pros: sharpness, color return, blurred, focus ring and... why not, handsome! ;-) Cons: Knowing what you buy, nothing. Opinion: Bought for the urge to try a Zeiss and have a 50 1.4 to use with the 5DSR. It may seem a madness seen the 50 mpx of the machine, its problem of always moving in ambush and manual focus. I use it almost always freehand and I do not deny that the difficulty of the focus exists and do not always help the green dot and the beep. In live View everything resolves, but hardly (practically never) photographer with the tripod and also accustomed to live view of the 2 5d4 I find it really inconvenient not to have the touch on the 5DSR. The yield of the milvus is exceptional and in some cases it is like having almost a zoom because cropping you still has a very good image. The weight for now does not bother and grip and use the focus ring... well, it's to try. It is the only horn made to Canon mom from 1968... ;-)) sent on February 14, 2018 |
Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Pros: Size, rendering, cost, covered focal lengths. Cons: If I consider the use I do, no one. Opinion: Taken to have a wide-angle lens for my M6. It does not greatly increase the size of the machine that remains (relatively) pocketed unlike the M6 ??EF 16-35 L F4 binomial. The yield is good and the focal 11 in combination with the articulated screen allows you to make different pictures without performing acrobatics. The optic allows you to get close enough to the subjects, not for macro, but always to get different images. Great companion of Canon M. sent on October 12, 2017 |
Canon EOS M6 Pros: Small and complete, I can use my EF lenses. Cons: Let's hope Canon expands the M series lens line with a wide angle and a bright tele (at least F2), which optics are currently missing. Opinion: had been in use by a friend for his temporary transfer abroad for two months. Returned on its return and immediately ordered with the 22mm F2 and optical adapter EF/EF-S. With the 22nd it's really in a pocket (big) or just in the mountains i insert it in a plastic bag in bubbles and away in the backpack. The quality of the files is in line with the APS-C DSLRs of the same generation, so not that of 1DXII or 5D4, but still very good. Well also the AF. I don't do video so I can't write anything about it. No problem to adapt to the different ergonomics (and well) from that of my 5D4 and the various menus are familiar to those who use Canon. Priceless to be able to count on the EF lenses when needed with the adapter (I took the original). Obviously does not replace the 5D4 for action photos (Auto/moto in my case), but having it in the bag was and will be an extra security and added value if I want to exploit the crop factor APS-C, remaining its primary use in my case that of * always ready in my pocket *. Really very happy. Edit: With a simple adaptor I can use FD lenses including real gems like the 55 F 1.2 SSC Aspherical. The focus is manual but can use focus peaking, Magnifier and hyperfocal. Great fun Additional! sent on September 14, 2017 |
Manfrotto zaino Off road 30L (MB OR-BP-30GY) Pros: Good division of the photo compartment * standard backpack *, quick machine extraction, discrete number of accessory pockets, not fatigue. Cons: Nothing in particular, I evaluated well before buying my needs. Opinion: Tested in some exits on the Dolomites, soft exits, classic daytime huts. The backpack * looks good * and this is the most important thing. The weight of the bottom gear helps balance the load. Access to the machine with mounted lens is quick. Since the machine occupies the bottom, I have inserted a padded partition taken from another bag to increase the protection when I backpack the backpack. In the exits made, which I repeat was very soft, I inserted the 5D4 with the 24-70 f4 IS L mounted. I'm not a landscaper, so it was enough for me. I noticed though that if I wanted to take the 70-200 f4 IS L or 16-35 f4 IS L I should have pushed it inside the lens and removed the hood. Filters and tabs can be in pockets (enough for me). The non-photographic part is fine for the day's needs (or having fewer needs for even two days), a bit of clothing, food and water. I wear the jacket in the top-tex out at the top, stopped by the flapthe backpack. In the backpack is a waterproof cover for the same that is useful in case of rain. For me, for my needs, this backpack is a good solution. sent on September 04, 2017 |
Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Sharpness, rendered colors, AF, IS, robustness, weight Cons: For my use, no one. Opinion: Since the age does not give you anything, I changed the version without IS with this because the hands are no longer a rock ... ;-) and because I always take a free hand, sometimes with really low times. Its * sferragliare * accompanies the use, but for the kind I do is not a problem. I find it fast and precise, very sharp and with good colors. Always in my bag / backpack when I do not need 100-400 and when i want something less flashy (ehhmmm ..., in short ...). Nice glass. sent on July 10, 2017 |
Canon 5D Mark IV Pros: Noise, ISO, AF, solidity, perfect in hand with or without BG, white balance, etc. Cons: Nobody. Opinion: Waiting (waiting, waiting ...) the 6D MkII, in the end I decided to take the 5DIV. Autofocus that offers you a chance and that, in my opinion, works well and already tested in some events (self-moto) with my battle lens, EF 100-400 L II, also multiplied with Ef 1.4x III. The touch monitor is perfect and I do not find the menus complicated, indeed. RAW files are easy to work (I use, little and bad, DPP). I find the new button added very comfortable. Just so, but for my unimaginable use, the snapshot noise, even in silent mode, but still in the standard for reflexes. I do not make videos. Great car ... ;-) ------------ rnrnEdit: ... great car really made me clean in the outfit and buy a twin found a few clicks (less than 3000) at a good price. It is a bit back to the old analogical times when I photographed by profession and I had 2 identical bodies (A1 / T90 / EOS1 / EOS1New). sent on June 23, 2017 |
Canon 80D Pros: RAW file workable, lightweight but ergonomic AF. Cons: For my use, nothing special. Opinion: It is the APS-C beside the FF machine. Mostly used for car / bike with its original battery grip, which with two batteries also these original ones, allows me to safely do an event for over 2000/2500 shots. The burst of my use is enough and so the focus. Taking the battery grip and mounting the 16-35 F4L IS becomes a great holiday / vacation companion. I hardly move beyond the 1600 ISO, and to this value I do not encounter problems in RAW processing. In short, very pleased with this car. sent on June 08, 2017 |
Canon 6D Pros: Sensor, central AF point, ease of use. Cons: I loved her ... ;-) I do not find it. Opinion: Sacrificed by monetizing a little for the purchase of the 5DIV. Some have complained that they have encountered problems with the meter, my mood has always been correct. I never had any problems in weather conditions so so (I certainly did not show my little sister to snowboard or snow). High quality RAW files and easily workable. Together we drank cars and motorcycles and, knowing what I was doing and knowing its limits, I got good results even in her own areas. In short, 10. sent on June 01, 2017 |
Canon EF 24-70mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Construction, sharpness, AF and IS good Cons: Nothing in particular. Opinion: In the hands of the usual feeling of strength of all L-series Taken to assist the 24-105 F4 L (I) that does not always satisfy me as surrender (love-hate). Best to 24/35 both at the edges than in the center, and as a sharpness that distortion. Even the IS seems better. Color and contrast are very similar. The 24-105 is still as it sometimes 35mm longer serve for my kind of picture. sent on March 28, 2017 |
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Focal covered, rugged construction, and af IS excellent. Cons: Sometimes all, sometimes nothing ... Opinion: I love and hate for this zoom. With the FF * * would cover a range of focal perfect, but to 24/50 is sometimes unwatchable at the edges. The practicality of putting in one (small) bag SLR with a single optic * would * priceless. I tried several times 24-70 F4L and found it better ... but the 35 mm more than the 24-105 at times lacking. With the APS-C something better (just) as vignetting and distortion, but you lose the wide side. In short, love and hate. Love, love, I keep it ... ;-) sent on March 14, 2017 |
Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM II Pros: Crisp, stabilizer and af top, beautiful solid, well with 1.4x III, a perfect all-rounder in the range covering, minimum focusing distance awesome fire. Cons: Nothing to report. Opinion: I got to try repeatedly the lens is smooth * * which combined with the 1.4x III (sort, I'm waiting) and its yield has convinced me to buy. In my case it does not replace the 70-200 F4L that for reasons of size / weight prefer for outputs / jobs where lighter perspective and less invasive * * is indicated. E 'instead of the maximum when you need a single optical covering the focal instead of two fixed heavy. sent on March 06, 2017 |
Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM Pros: overall quality noticeable when you are holding, brightness, very clear (in the center, but not bad either at the edges) already f2, autofocus and excellent stabilizer. Cons: Nothing important. Opinion: For the kind of photography I do I needed brighter perspective (both opening as * vision * in the viewfinder) the 24-105L, still essential to aim for my photos. It had to be stabilized (very low usage times) and I saw that most of my shots were among the focal 30 / 38mm. I discarded the 35L 1.4 for reasons of cost / footprint / unregulated and why I would not have taken advantage of for what can give and so I took the 35 f2. Thoroughly tested in two events I was very happy. Already clear (at the center) to f2, it improves the edges to f2.8 onwards. Shooting in low light situations not known special vignetting even at f2. The lens hood I bought the original and with the Canon L series lenses do not you know that it is so, as always, and the expense to be put in quote. Good lens indeed. sent on February 07, 2017 |
Microsoft Lumia 950 Pros: Good reception, good photos, perfectly integrated into the Windows world Cons: Little app for those with mobile play there and it does not work. Opinion: As written in the pro * *, is perfectly integrated in the Windows world, a system with which job. From the photos point of view, in part it replaces but worthily the compact. Indeed, in many cases (night / indoor) exceeds it. I would have preferred the 950XL version, but the clutter made me decide for this. Really a good buy, and partner in life. sent on October 20, 2016 |
Canon A-1 Pros: All Cons: Nothing Opinion: E 'it was (were, I had 2) my first car * automatic *. Before Canon EF / FTB. Equipped with motor (5 photos per second at the time were not for everyone ....) have accompanied me until the advent of T90. Planes and cars, but also portraits, landscapes and ceremonies. * Called them my little sisters * Also in the articles corredavo with clicks of those wonderful, expensive machines. If I have to find fault, the flash sync at 1/60, deadly take pictures at night to rally, impossible to eliminate the trail of lights ... but it was a common evil to all Canon Series A. Fine heavy, but I used also paired with a bracket, with a give and with the B & W or color. Colleagues * * nikonisti with their FM2 envied the burst speed of the A1. A great exposure, working in dia with Kodachrome 25/64, those who used them knows what I write, more than the PP now with digital, taking photos, and ended there. I'd still have one, but when I switched to EOS1 (always with film) and EF, I held a FTB with 20 f2.8 /35 f2 / 50 f1.4 / f2.8 135 FD kit. All things that I have not used any more, just occasionally resent the clang * * mechanic FTB. rnMa * * my little sisters, that longing .... sent on October 12, 2016 |
