These are the results that I'd like to get "in control", however I can only sometimes, chasing a long time with many trials, almost by accident.
There is a modus operandi to get there?

Hello guys!
Thanks for the compliments! So, I really like shooting backlit .. This is one of those cases. To get a warm light, wait for the sunset or when the sun is quite low. If I remember correctly, this was taken last winter .. December, I think.
As always use spot metering, and set forth on the face. I leave the diaphragm rather open .. The rest comes by itself!
I hope to be useful, even if only in part! 8-)
Greetings to you!
Fabio

So that sort of "haze" in the shot comes on its own without special processes in post production?
Thank you very much for the info
Emanuele

Absolutely! Am here for the light hitting the lens! .. Just be careful not to run in the glare, halos that could give you nasty! ;-)

Hello Gianluca! No, I have not dropped anything, the only surgery done in post, you accentuate your eyes with a hint function burning / fencing and a bit of vividness (typically +35 / 40). The rest was all enhanced by light, and certainly the hit of C to find myself in the right angle with the sun, which donated a canopy right, without creating flare intrusive.
You're right ... @ Max57 But I, not I complain! :-D:-D:-D
@ Japko You are now passed to the 5D2 and I 85 .. but the combination 5D and 100, was phenomenal. Really.
Thank you all for the visits and comments!

The modus operandi and 'what you use, you nn maybe you took this photo? ... Or not?, And saw that you and' very nice, I would have done more 'attention to those blades of grass sprouting on the face / eyes. fine spot metering, but the real point and 'WHERE did you get the measurement, sn points burned and this is very distracting the viewer's eye ... and my tip' to weigh those points and then overexpose, and then the composition ....! frame and 'too "sewn" seems to have space x nn breathe very well ... instead the colors :)

@ TeeCee are sincere .... I did not understand anything of your advice, but thank you anyway! :-)
@ Masonry, thank you! I also had the 18-70, with which I have really had a great time. Very good optical kit. Perhaps one of the last built really well! Obviously, the fixed lights, have a higher gear! I'm going to see me again your gallery! Until next time!
