La solitudine di questo cucciolo di circa 7-8 mesi, che, privato di mamma e fratellino, aggrediti e uccisi pochi giorni prima da un grande maschio mentre mangiavano una carcassa di tricheco arenata sulla spiaggia, è rimasto solo su un'arida isoletta di pietra a fianco di Kiepertøya. Una sorte purtroppo segnata dalla durissima legge della natura, specie in un habitat estremo come l'Artico. Un grandissimo groppo in gola ogni volta che ci penso, ma dovevo ricordarlo.
