I knew that at midnight the milkyway was perfectly behind the trees, even if still very low in the sky. If you follow me, you know that I love strange night view, and I always try to make my astrophoto look like from another planet. This was the perfect occasion. The view was incredible: desert sand, dead trees, pitch black sky and a little hint of Airglow. For this reason, I decided to make a bigger pano than usual and show the location in all its strange glory. The foreground is a row of eight pics, each one a focustaking of two of 4 minutes (because the tree were too close) and an HDR to recover the city light in the back. The sky is a row of eight, each one a staking of 10 at 10” and 16000 ISO, to reduce the noise. The result is amazing….and if this one it seems strange to you, the next will blow your mind. ;)
