Photo taken a few minutes after another, low sun, but not completely in the backlight, I like for the background (as you also noted), but it is also more readable the suggestive game of cables between walkway, hull and tower.
Thank you so much for your nice comments, glad you liked these pictures.

Interesting story, I did not know the existence of this particular boat,
made very evident by the magnificent shot almost in silhouette. Beautiful as Micia says the earthly background in various gradations.
Hello
Roberto :-)
Ps: maybe it hangs a little to the right?

Thank you very much Roberto for your nice comment also to this shot.
Undecided between the two that I like for the different reasons that dear Micia has already highlighted, I posted them both to hear your opinion.
For the slope:
The coasts of the Strait of Messina: Sicilian and Calabrian, are not parallel, and i have not taken much into account that particular, but rather the verticality of the tower of the boat which, however, could having had at that moment a little pitching. In conclusion you may be right maybe I should have corrected more
Thank you so much for the observation.

Beautiful shot, Sergio is very interesting the caption, which in addition to telling origins and history of swordfishing, also tell of the splendor of Mediterranean civilizations, when the exchanges of goods and cultural were intense and beneficial for everyone. I wonder if you will be able to see this splendor reborn to new life.
This photo of you has rekindled in me a desire, that is to be able to go to the end of the catwalk and enjoy the intoxication that I imagine you feel. Flying over the sea, lulled by the waves and in the ears only the sound of the wind. Like a seabird to be enchanted by beauty.
Thank you Sergio, you made me dream

Very beautiful also this, remarkable depth of field (despite the canvas perspective), beautiful shades of the background!

Hello Giammarco, I think it is precisely the different shades of color of the background that give depth to this shot.
Happy you liked it.
Thank you so much for your words.

A little ibem, Sergio. It would be pretty hard for me. I understand what you're saying. Boats, who knows why they are always small and sharing the spaces is not easy, but it adapts soon, if there is respect. At the end of the day, I think a good photographer can avoid getting in the way, otherwise goodbye reportage.
For the malaise, I would have no problems, at least so far, never been bad on the boat or plane, even when dancing. I suffer from the auro pain :-o
Who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to do it too.
Good light Sergio and if You should go, tell us

Hello Carlo, there are not many feluccas on the Strait of Messina, so, very possible to be the same, in his lap, I waited for it to be closer to shore to take it back.
Thank you so much for your positive comment on this shot.

Hello Cage.
Getting on one of these boats has always been a wish, including to get on the "coffa" or at the end of the boardwalk which, to be honest, I do not know if it is granted to non-employees.
At the top of the tree there must be an impressive view, but roll and pitching are amplified :-o I don't suffer from seasickness, but I've never experienced stimulation, so extreme, while, a passage on the end of the walkway must be fantastic. Either way, I imagine photographic cues not to end.
Once I asked for information, I was discouraged by what I wrote.
Who knows, maybe I'll think again and the camera will be with me... ;-)
Thank you so much

Hello Roberto, undecided on which to propose the two, I like them in different aspects both, so I submitted to your opinion both.
Happy you've valued them well.
Thank you very much.
