I golden Langur ( Trachypithecus geei ) sono una rarissima specie endemica dell' Assam che vive distribuita su di un territorio di appena 60 miglia quadrate. Noi li abbiamo visti sull isola di Umananda a Guwahati dove c'è un iportante tempio hinduista e dove parecchi anni fa qualcuno ha portato qualche esemplare prelevato dal Manas N.P. Vivendo sull' isola sono partciolarmente socievoli e con un po' di pazienza si riescono ad avvicnare senza troppe difficoltà.
