La città è tutta qui, stretta dentro quelle mura che oggi fanno fatica ad arginarla. Oltre dovrebbe esserci il mare. O almeno c'era, ma molto tempo fa. Era un estate calda quella, la calura opprimeva e lui, bambino tra bambini, percorse a piedi la distanza che lo separava da quella smisurata distesa azzurra. Era il 1941. Oltre le mura solo campagna.
