Playing with Mom sent on June 27, 2018 (18:33) by Stewe90. 14 comments, 826 views. [retina]

at 210mm, 1/1000 f/9.0, ISO 800, hand held. Kruger National Park, South Africa. Specie: Acinonyx jubatus

Thank you very much Marco, unfortunately at Kruger there are fewer and fewer, many victims also of the road and other larger predators. We searched for them 2 days without success in the south area between crocodile bridge and lower sabie along the s28, then we moved to the timbavatii area (the area around satara is much more open and with less bush) and we were much luckier.
next year we are focusing on the dogs that are still missing from the appeal :-D

Cheetahs have always been few at Kruger. In 2007 when I first went there there were an estimated 200 throughout the park. so every sighting should be appreciated all the way through. here then it is in clean environment, it looks made at the Mara! Beautiful.

Thank you very much Marcom and Marco,
Two years ago the statistics scored less than 120 cheetahs at Kruger, we hope they recover a little but the trend is not very positive perhaps because of the shape of the ground and the few open spaces
