One poppy, cloned a million times! (No, not really). Thanks to AnnH for a suggestion about these poppies, not quite where she was told they were and now well past their best and with chilly winds and mostly dull skies, they looked rather better at a distance and less so close up. |

I already cut some, Vittorio, but I didn't want to cut too much as it was such a splendid backdrop. Thanks! |

Wonderful, Tim! I'm so pleased you found some, even if the info I was given wasn't totally accurate! I guess that meant lots of walking for you.... Even if they are past their best, you've made them look very lovely! |

I saw them on a distant hillside from the falling to bits and noisy bus as we were exiting the second village past where you were told and I had almost given up (but was well prepared for a good walk as the countryside is stunning anyway). Of course, not knowing where I was on the map where the bus had stopped and trying to walk to it was a venture in itself, with, of course, private land notices and a bridleway that hadn't seen a horse, or walker (or strimmer!) in decades... I do have many more, but walking every day (including yesterday) means that I am SO tired, now... Thanks again for the tip-off, am so glad that I was able to get some use out of it! Nice sharpness from the Tamron too, if I might say... |

I'm pleased that you found them, even if the surrounding countryside was lovely. I would have felt bad, if you had found none! I guessed you must have been out much, as you've not been so active on Juza these past couple of days. I've been out and about a lot, too, until today when I've barely strayed from home and only taken three photos.... :)) The lens (and photographer) did a great job! |

Are you back home now, then? (And no visit to that part of the world would have been a waste of time, Ann) |

Indeed, Sergio! That was going to be my title, originally, cheers and thanks! |

No, no - I can see that would be confusing - I meant home in Spain. I'll be back in Dorset on Wednesday, so just one day left of holidaying and I plan to make the most of it! |

Ah, right. Have a good day tomorrow! Another day of rain forecast here, though it could be reasonable for a few hours early on - the last day of my week's bus ticket, so I might try to squeeze another (short) journey out of it but happy with what I have got this past week (inc London, of course) Are you interested in the Chalke Valley History Festival? cvhf.org.uk/ I aim to try to go on Saturday (£15/£12 in advance)) which is the dressing up 'costume day' - the bus I took today, (eventually) sort of goes somewhere near and I'm happy with that but it should be good for something interesting and different. You could try my new Tamron! No need to answer until you know. |

Thanks very much for the invite but sorry, Tim, I can't do Saturday - I have a family birthday party specially arranged for that day because I'll be back from Spain. I looked at the link and it does sound full of photo opportunities. I don't do 'dress up' myself though - useful to be able to hide behind a camera on such occasions! |

Ann - it's a new event for me and have been trying to work out how to get to it. Now I don't officially photograph the Wilton Carnival, also on the Saturday, I should at least try. As far as dressing up, obviously only those who wish to do such, not scruffy yokels like me! Never mind, thought it worth asking as soon as I reasonably could. |

It certainly was worth asking and I would have come, had I been free to do so! I hope it turns out to be a great day for you! |
