Little Wonder! It is pouring with rain - and it isn't open yet, being 7.30 a.m. An almost impossible photo to get - the huge bulbuos front element of my superwide 14mm forever getting raindrops on it and this one had to be geometrically true and correct. Some editing required too, to make it look as good I could. Not my best from that wet morning, but an unusual viewpoint of such a London icon, that I wanted to have it in my Juza profile. |

Perfectly composed and the lighting is great - all the better for the wet pavement! You did a great job to produce such an image in difficult weather conditions, Tim! I must take a look at my London Eye images and see if I have one I would be happy to post..... :)) |

Thank you Ann - it was the very shiny pavement surface that really attracted me and in my opinion, just wouldn't have been even worth taking without. And yes, I'm pleased with the final outcome. It was raining just too hard to set up the travel tripod (which I later used for the Big Ben shot) but just got away with handholding! The Eye suffers from having been photographed by everyone and then by his wife and his dog. Trying to come up with an original shot (without being too original ie gimmicky or looking just plain awful) is difficult. But certainly worth looking through your archives but for a thumbnail to grab the attention it needs to have some impact. |

Ok - so I've found a London Eye photo I like! It remains to be seen whether or not you do - it's not compulsory! :)) I'll be uploading it in a minute...... |

Seen it! I since realise that a longer exposure (via tripod) wouldn't have helped much, as you can see in the top corners the wheel is slowly turning and it needed to be still for my picture to work. I can't now recall if someone had just 'started it up' or it was always turning slowly. |
