Ho impiegato circa una 20ina di minuti nell'avvicinarlo... erano le 05:15 circa... nel silenzio più assoluto mi son avvicinato a passo di "formica", poi in ginocchio facendo passi piccolissimi con pause lunghe. Credo che mi sarei potuto avvicinare ulteriormente, ma ho preferito evitare vedendo i suoi artigli lunghi quanto un nostro dito... ho avuto paura che se si fosse spaventato, avrebbe potuto attaccarmi per difesa, e con quelle "unghie"...
conosco molto poco questi volatili...
Come ho detto, questo avvicinamento è stato un regalo bellissimo ed inaspettato.
Il rapace era in perfetto stato di salute, una volta involato è planato sulla barriera corallina catturando un pesce dalle dimensioni non indifferenti, per poi posarsi su un corallo sporgente e divorarselo.
