Dal momento che siamo ospitati in un forum che riguarda la fotografia non mi sembra fuori luogo approfittare di un piccolo spazio per dare l'ultimo saluto a Giuseppe (Peppino) Leone, fotografo ragusano considerato fra i più rappresentativi ed eminenti del dopoguerra siciliano che tre giorni fa, il 17/04/2024, ha riposto definitivamente le sue macchine fotografiche. Ha portato le sue foto, prevalentemente in bianco e nero, in giro per il mondo con un'infinità di mostre di successo e con la pubblicazione di oltre 60 volumi, raccontando i paesaggi e i costumi della Sicilia dagli anni cinquanta ad oggi. Chi avesse piacere di saperne qualcosa di più o semplicemente per ammirare alcune delle sue innumerevoli opere può trovare un ampio riscontro su internet.

Un ringraziamento particolare voglio fare all'amico Renato (Renni) che ha arricchito questo spazio pubblicando una delle più belle foto del Maestro Leone: è quella che avrei scelto di pubblicare io, se solo sapessi... come si fa.

Voglio anche ringraziare l'amica Chiara per il consiglio e per avere espresso il suo parere in merito alla composizione della mia immagine: il tuo ragionamento non fa una grinza e "stringere" sulle " ...presenze umane..." avrebbe reso sicuramente l'immagine più pulita. Il fatto è che quando fotografo parte di queste bellissime e coloratissime gallerie all'aperto ci vedo proprio un senso di "confusione", dato dal numero delle opere esposte e da soggetti che nulla hanno a che vedere tra di loro (non siamo di fronte ad una "ordinata" esposizione in un Museo), che mi piace, probabilmente anche sbagliando, evidenziare nella mia immagine finale.
