Nature often takes on cruel appearances. But that's not the case. The food scale teaches, large eats small, dominant prey those under him. Then external factors intervene, such as for exmpio weather anomalies, frost, drought., wind etc. Once the starting balance is changed, the young are abandoned. As in this case, perhaps by a gust you wind the nest has fallen and the parents, it is not known for what strange biodynamics abandon it. It also happens with other species. The small roe deer or deer if contaminated with external odors is left to its fate. You did very well post this testimony as far as sad ending. Congratulations Pinitti.
Bye gios
Ps. Sorry if I've gone long, but I love studying and living everything around me.

You did well.
Normally when babies are found outside the nest, their fate is marked.
years ago I found 2 small blackbird, roughly like these is I fed them without making too many scruples.
I had put a wooden cage with the door open and put it on the balcony for cats spinning under the house.
On the third morning with surprise I found a blackbird that brought him earthworms.
Then I stopped feeding them and they finally flew in.
They were lucky.

Gios
Roby
Thank you for the comments I really appreciated.
I too had thought to take them home and feed them but I hoped, putting the nest back on the tree, that the parents could take care of it normally, also because the nest did not have to have fallen for a long time.
I think it went as Gios says: they will have smelled different odors or that the nest was no longer safe and they abandoned it.
Greetings to both of you.

Unfortunately it is not possible to always help wild animals especially birds feel preyed on and abandon their offspring. But better to try to save them like you did you never know

First of all congratulations for what you did and then congratulations also for the photo. I think you were right to put it out and describe its "history"... Nature is also this puretopod...

Sometimes we would like to be uninvited and super-gifted but it is not so much a beautiful shot that reminds everyone how much living things should always be respected. Have a good evening mag
