Subjects :Le Mat is a suburb of Hanoi, known for snake breeders: here are bred cobras intended to be eaten or used for liquor, in which the snake is immersed in a distillate (to which bile, fruit and spices are sometimes added).
Recommended equipment :Portrait lens (I used the 35 f/1.4), wide angle, standard zoom.
Best months :All year round
How to get there :The neighborhood is easily accessible both by public transport (bus) and by taxi (about 6km from the center of Hanoi)
Visits :Free visit; We photographed a snake breeder who did not ask us for any payment, but we bought a lot of his products; I do not know if a small contribution is asked if no purchases are made.
Notes :Various restaurants in the neighborhood offer the snake, I tasted it fried and breaded and it was good.
