Subjects :A naturalistic park very dense with vegetation, reptiles, birds and amphibians. Everything that is in the first few meters of height is easily photographed from the walkway that runs through the park, for the birds that remain at high altitude on the tall trees, any stakeouts are required. Numerous caves all different from each other, considered among the longest in the world, so torch and tripod always at hand. Dress in a technical way due to the high degree of humidity. For trekking, mosquito spray and plenty of water.
Recommended equipment :For the most part, macro photography wins, for the numerous insects and reptiles, but also a good telephoto lens is recommended (200/600mm). Insects and reptiles can be found in the trees adjacent to the walkway or even on it. I recommend a good camera body, a macro lens, artificial light and a good tripod. For caves, wide angle and tripod, not usable in all caves. Flash is prohibited, a headlamp is mandatory.
Best months :From July to September, but it can easily rain all the same!
How to get there :Flight to Kuching and domestic flight to Mulu Airport. The airport is located in the park, 1500 meters from the actual entrance to the ticket office
Visits :Timetables and costs on the site, park guide recommended.
